ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CANADA VISA

To enter Canada, the applicants from other countries must need to follow the following criteria: 

  1. Applicants must have a valid Indian passport or any other valid travel document.
  2. Should possess sufficient funds to financially support themselves for the entire period of their stay in Canada.
  3. Applicants must not have any criminal records and immigration-related convictions.
  4. Must have travel insurance for traveling to Canada. In case you don’t have travel insurance, you can get it from Visa Lounge at an additional cost.
  5. In case of a business visa, the applicant must have a letter of confirmation from the employer.
  6. An applicant who wants to stay with their relatives or friends must show an invitation letter from his/her sponsor.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Business Visa

  • Valid Passport: Should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel with a minimum of two blank pages.
  • Application Form: One duly filled online Visa application form to be signed by the applicant and sent along with the BARCODE receipt.
  • Photographs: Three recent passport size color photographs measuring 51mm X 51mm in size where the face should cover about 60 to 70% of the photo area. The photograph should be taken against a plain light-colored background with no shadows on the face or the background. It should not be more than 3 months old. 
  • Family Sheet Form: One family sheet form to be duly filled and signed by the applicant without leaving any blanks.
  • Covering Letter: A letter mentioning the details of the applicant (purpose of visit, the period of stay, complete details of travel, etc.) must be signed by the authorized signatory with the company stamp on it and addressed to the Canadian High Commission.
  • Invitation Letter: 
  1. a) The applicant needs to produce an invitation letter that includes the information of the Canadian person/ Canadian company on its letterhead. The letter should state the purpose of travel and the duration of stay of the applicant and should be duly signed with the signatory’s name and designation.

Note: The invitee or the host needs to be a Canadian citizen or hold permanent residence in Canada.

  1. b) The applicant needs to provide proof of on-going business activities with the Canadian company or the host, failing which the Visa application will be rejected.
  • Authority Letter: The applicant needs to sign an authorization letter. Authority letters can be downloaded from the forms section of our website.
  • Updated and attested bank statement of the last six months with sufficient balance.
  • Proof of Employment: The applicant needs to provide 
  • If a company employee
  1. A No Objection Certificate From the employer along with the leave letter.
  2. Should provide the payslips for the last six months.
  • Self-employed people should prove themselves as the owner of the company through the MOA of the company/ Partnership Deed.
  • Students need to produce a Leave Sanction Letter and id card copy from school along with the ITR, Bank Statement, and NOC letter from the parents.
  • Proof Of Occupation (For the first time traveler): 
  1. MOA (Memorandum Of Articles.
  2. Partnership deed.
  • Copy of Income Tax Return statement/ Form 16 for the last 3 years.

Terms & Conditions: 

  1. The information given in the passport should exactly be the same as on the Visa form.
  2. The applicant needs to sign the Visa form all by HIMSELF/ HERSELF and not by anyone on the applicant’s variant.
  3. If an applicant does not have a surname or any given name in the passport, please do not put N/A in the name field. Instead, leave the given name field blank and enter the name mentioned in the passport at the family name field in the application form.

Tourist Visa

  • Valid Passport: Should be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel with a minimum of two blank pages.

    1. Authority Letter: The applicant needs to sign an authorization letter.
    2. A consent letter from the Parents/ Guardian needs to be produced if the student is below 18 years of age and traveling alone.
  • If Visiting a Relative: Photocopies of the relative’s status in the US. Ex- Green Card, Valid Visa, etc.
    1. Updated and attested bank statement of the last six months with sufficient balance.
    2. Income Tax Return Statement/ Form 16 for the last three years.
    3. Need to produce the proof of hotel reservation.
    4. Applicants need to duly fill and sign a VFS form.
  • Proof of Return: Travel itinerary, job contract, lease or property deed, or family ties with your home country which will prove your return. 
  • Proof of Occupation: The applicant needs to provide 
  • If a company employee
  1. A No Objection Certificate From the employer along with the leave letter.

PROCESSING TIME

The processing time for Canada Visa takes a minimum of 19 days or more.

  • VFS Cash Handling Charges of Rs.XYZ has to be paid by the applicant at the VFS center.
    Note: With effect from 1st June 2015, the VFS center will accept fees in CASH ONLY.
